How to verify before ordering
- Match the reference and the pinion tooth count; the wrong tooth count damages the flywheel.

Frequently asked questions
It clicks and does not turn. Is it broken?
Not necessarily. The click is the solenoid pulling in. It may be a flat battery, a loose ground or burnt internal contacts. Measure voltage at the starter terminal during the attempt before removing it.
Can it be repaired instead of replaced?
Yes, when the damage is in brushes, solenoid or winding. On critical sets keep a spare and repair the removed unit without pressure.
