Fasteners - Clamps 3" — Metal pipe clamp used to fix cable, conduit or hose to walls, cable trays and supports. Select the size by the outside diameter of the pipe: the clamp inside diameter must be slightly smaller than the pipe so it can grip, and a rubber insert compensates for a large gap. Choose the fixing bolt by substrate — expansion anchors in concrete, self-drilling screws or banding on steelwork, and chemical anchors in hollow block; never rely on plastic plugs for vibration loads. Tighten until the insert is slightly compressed; over-tightening crushes conduit and damages cable sheathing. Touch up the galvanised layer where it was cut or knocked, otherwise rust starts exactly there. Check the size (3" / EMT etc.) and the matching bolts before ordering.
