Damper - Industrial damper ALJ01008 — Industrial louvre damper fitted in the intake and exhaust openings of a generator room or set to control airflow while also providing sound attenuation and rain protection. Blade position is set by a manual mechanism or an electric actuator; size the damper by airflow and allowable pressure drop, not by outline dimensions. When installing, make sure the blades open in the direction of airflow and seal the gap between frame and opening with mastic, otherwise air leakage takes the acoustic performance away with it. Electric versions need service access for the actuator, and before connecting to a fire interlock confirm the fail-safe direction — most plant designs require fail-open, some require fail-closed. The blade position indicator should be visible from outside for inspection rounds. Check the model, opening size and drive type before ordering.
