Adhesives & Sealants - 996 — One-component elastic adhesive sealant for bonding and gap sealing on metal, plastic and painted surfaces. It cures into a flexible layer that absorbs vibration and thermal movement; thinner grades suit narrow gaps and potting, thicker grades suit vertical joints. The surface must be dry, oil-free and rust-free; position the part and press it down before the skin forms, and do not load the joint until fully cured. A thicker bead cures more slowly, and cold or humid conditions call for a longer wait. Use the cartridge up soon after opening and never stir a skinned surface back into the bulk. Check the grade (995 / 996 / 998) and pack size before ordering; the grades serve different purposes and are not interchangeable.
